The passing of Malcolm J. Macleod, affectionately known as “Mocco,” has brought deep sadness to his family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his presence, kindness, and courage. Malcolm passed away peacefully on May 19, 2025, surrounded by the love and support of his family and fellow members of the Men’s Cancer Group, a community that stood beside him throughout his journey. Those who knew him through the group remember him as a valued and deeply respected member whose honesty, compassion, and willingness to engage in meaningful conversations brought comfort and encouragement to others facing similar struggles.
Even during the most challenging moments of his illness, Malcolm remained thoughtful and courageous while navigating difficult decisions regarding treatment and care. His resilience and openness left a lasting impact on those around him. Friends from the group continued to hold him close in their thoughts, speaking of him often during weekly gatherings and ensuring he knew how much he was appreciated and loved.
Mocco was remembered not only for his strength but also for his genuine personality and the warmth he brought into every conversation. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, offering friendship, understanding, and kindness in ways that will never be forgotten. His absence leaves a profound void among those fortunate enough to know him.
